April 23 2025 Meeting

IN ATTENDANCE

Board members in person: Doug Duncan, Kirk Hamilton, Bob Cunningham
Via Zoom: Larry Palmer
Absent: David Kelly
Also in attendance: Austin Bynum, Dock master

Call to Order

Doug Duncan, President, called the meeting to order at 10:00 am and announced that 2 other board members were in the room and 1 on zoom.
Confirmation of meeting notice 2 days prior was confirmed by Bob Cunningham, Secretary.

Approval of minutes

Doug Duncan, called for approval of the minutes of the March 27,2025 and the Annual meeting April 11, 2025.
Motion to approve both was made by Kirk Hamilton, seconded by Doug Duncan and approved unanimously by the board.

New business:

Doug Duncan announced that Tina Gerhart, office manager has resigned to accept another position.
The interview process has been started by Austin and Kirk, 15 good candidates having applied, they will keep us updated on its progress.
It has been decided that this new person will not handle billing along with other accounting details, as this has been turned over to our accountants to handle.
The new position will be customer service along with other clerical duties.
Doug also announced that the board has agreed to offer Austin Bynum the newly created position of General manager, along with his duties as Dockmaster.
Doug Duncan, talked about the Country Club’s interest in using the marina building during remodeling shut down. Several good points were brought up during a discussion, but nothing will happen until negotiations are worked out with the CC board and General manager.
Kirk Hamilton and Bob Cunningham will meet with the CC board representatives with the goal of a mutual agreement. After which time it will go to our lawyer for approval and then it will be presented to all owners.
Discussion was also had concerning our seawall and the effects the renovations may have on it. Further discussion with an engineer will be conducted by Doug.
